First english post : a unexpected day!

Hey!

This is the first english post in the “Frela on the avon”!

Today we talk about the 26th August 2017, a pretty good day by sailing standards.

Arriving at around 1pm, Frela roared into life and around a hour later, she was off on one of her longest voyages ever, heading from Defford quay marina, heading towards Strensham, then turning around and passing the marina again, heading right to Nafford weir.

I was on the roof and it was amazing, you could get some good photos!

(Photos unavaliable because google photos is playing up and wont show any photos from july onwards)

There were no issues on the boat journey and everyone enjoyed it.

What i liked most came after the journey. Being a absolute train fanatic (but boats are cool too, i guess 😁)

Seeing some people in a field opposite the marina, my friends mum (who was on the journey aswell) said “its probably some people waiting for a train” and thats exactly what happened. An A4 Pacific steam engine “Union Of South Africa” (no. 60009) steamed over the bridge overlooking Defford marina, with me gasping in disbelief! (See video)

Overall, saturday was a good day.

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic and different from the usual posts and sorry if it is gramatically incorrect, typing on a tiny ipad keyboard.
